Foot’s Bay Marina is interwoven into the fabric of old Muskoka where it is nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Joseph. It was first opened in 1919 in the days of the Bigwin Inn, shutter opening parties at Cleveland’s House and the maiden launch of the Segwun from the Foot’s Bay wharf. Those were the days of beautiful Muskoka wooden boats, which still grace our waters today. We have all grown with the times and now the Muskoka boats share the water with high-speed motorboats. Foot’s Bay Marina has grown in its expertise, services and products but it still maintains and continually improves its old Muskoka quality of service and care for our family of customers.

Jim Donnelly is the owner of Foot’s Bay Marina of which he purchased in 1993. He has continually made upgrades and improvements to the marina since then. Jim comes from a large family and therefore it is important to him to maintain the family atmosphere of our beautiful marina. Although the marina is a small portion of his much larger group of companies known as Aboutown Transportation based in London Ontario, it holds a special place in his heart and it is where he goes to relax.
